W/Ri 'ashes' item tank?
Sorry if the title confused you. But yea, I was thinking, could the 'ashes' replace barrels, books etc, except they can be used anywere? Do you think it will use the same ai? I just thought of now, (I used search) sorry if its been discussed and that.

I never thought about that. It might work, but I'll bet it'll be fixed when Factions if released or if the idea gets abused too much. Good thinking though.

Yeah, then they'll probably nerf FoW book stance tanks because they can take all the aggro.

Whether this works or not, I'm definitely gonna make a W/Rt because I think those weapon of __w/e__ skills will prolly have some potential. And, I'm thinking that though Warriors are plentiful in this campaign, I'm sure ppl would gladly pick me over the 500 A/Mo that are gonna be creeping around in each mission town. But of course before my second warrior I'll have to go along with the crowd and make a primary Ritualist first :P

I think quite possibly alot of people had that idea. I had it too untill I decided to become a W/A.

lol I was in love with the ritualist from the moment I booted my computer up to the PvP weekend. Ritualist is THE perfect class for me, I will be able to function as a competent healer, and then with a moment to change skills head out and deal significant damage Offensive, defensive, support, IMHO the ritualist has the best of all worlds Oh and they have really cool clothes.

I've never really cared about nerfing, I'll find a way to function around it. Unless Anet completely rewrites the class, Ritualist will still be a great profession for offence, defence, or support.
IHMO I don't think holding "ashes" will work the same way as the book in FoW.

I'm thinking Anet better spend a lil more time nerfing Temple Strike then nerfing Ritualists.

The item holding we have now takes all the aggro because monsters are designed to priortize targets - and people you need for the mission (like ones holding the books/barrels/other items needed for it) are top of the list.
I wouldn't bet on it that Ritualist Ashes make the top of random monsters priority list.

gawd. warriors can do other things besides tank.
Besides, I think they will make mob AI better so that they do not target ashes holders.
